Payment Related Queries
What modes of payment are accepted on the property?
Payments via cash, credit cards or debit cards, UPI, net banking and Forex cards are accepted at Fireflies Kabini
What credit cards are accepted at Firefly?
We accept Visa and MasterCard.
Do you accept payment in foreign currency?
Yes, we accept foreign currency.
Are additional payments required at the time of booking?
Yes, the bookings are confirmed only after an advance payment is made.
Check in to rooms is after 2pm and check out is 11am daily. Complimentary transfers from Coolangatta and Ballina airport are available at set times as outlined below. Check- ins arriving by car must arrive before 5pm daily – outside these times a late check-in fee may apply.

Do the rooms have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi in our rooms.
Is there mobile connectivity at Fireflies, Kabini?
Airtel, JIO and BSNL networks have good connectivity on the property.
Is Fireflies pet-friendly?
Sorry, pets are not permitted on our property.
Is Fireflies child-friendly?
We have a separate menu for kids and high chairs can be provided on request. We also provide board games, books and activities for children. Wildlife safaris can be organised for the entire family. Extra beds/mattresses can be provided to your rooms (at an additional charge).
Are Fireflies accessible by wheelchair?
Unfortunately, we are not a wheelchair-accessible property.
Is Fireflies suitable for elderly folk?
The Akashmoni (Link) rooms are the two rooms closest to the restaurant and are recommended for elderly guests because the walking distance is the shortest.
Do you provide accommodation for drivers?
Yes, we do, but it’s not on the property. It is in the nearest village 5 km away. We also provide staff meals to drivers at an additional price.
What should I pack when visiting Fireflies?
- Compulsorily carry swimwear and floats for the kids
- Carry light jackets during winter and light clothes for the summer
- Mosquito bats are provided in each room. You are welcome to carry mosquito repellant if you choose to. We put herbal aggarbattis to ward off mosquitoes in common areas.
- Carry your raincoats /ponchos during the monsoon
- Comfortable shoes/sneakers
- Sunscreen
- Medicines ( if required)
Is medicine available at Fireflies?
We do have emergency medical supplies on the property. However, please note that the nearest pharmacy is about 5 km away. Hence, it is advisable to carry prescription medicines, baby food and other essentials that you may require.

Ujjiwan Small Finance Bank ATM is located 2 km away. But since village ATMs frequently run out of cash, we request you to withdraw cash before arrival. We also have online payment options.
Where is the nearest hospital?
The nearest hospital is the Government Hospital in Antharasanthe, which is 6 km away.
Are the approach roads to the property tarred and easily accessible by all vehicles?
Yes, there is a tarred road till about 1 km from the property. The last stretch is a mud road but it is easily accessible by all vehicles.

Is breakfast complimentary?
Yes, our stay packages are inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet meals). Separate snacks and beverage menu is also available, orders from which are charged separately.
Do you have a kid’s menu?
Yes, we have a menu that exclusively caters to kids with both Indian and continental dishes.
Do you accommodate allergy or dietary intolerance specifications?
Yes, we do. Kindly inform us of any allergies or dietary intolerance before your arrival.
What happens if guests don’t show up for meals?
No refund would be provided for any no-show meals.
What are the meal timings?
Breakfast: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Lunch: 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
High-Tea: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Dinner: 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Other Activities
Do you organise safaris? What are the timings of the wildlife sanctuary?
Yes, we do organise safaris at Kabini Wildlife Safari, Dammanakatte, which is 3.5 km away. The land and boat safaris can be arranged we recommend you book your safaris 24hrs before arrival.
In the morning, the national park is open between 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM and in the evening, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Can Fireflies organise transport?
Yes, we have service providers for taxis and safaris and can assist you with the same. We request you to book your transport at the time of booking.
What activities are offered at the property?

About the Weather
What is the weather like?
October to February - 6°C to 32°C
Winters in Kabini are particularly inviting because you can see a host of wildlife and a wide array of endangered and exotic birds in the jungle.
March to May - 20°C to 37°C
The best part of summer in Kabini is that it’s the best time for wildlife sightings as well as for star-gazing on our star-gazing deck. You may spot tigers, elephants and black panthers as they move across the wildlife reserve in search of watering holes.
June to September - 20°C to 33°C
Since this is the monsoon season, you can expect incessant rainfall. On the plus side, you are greeted by miles of lush greenery and dense foliage, which makes this a magical nature retreat.
They say the best time to visit Kabini is from September to June. But the monsoon season holds a certain kind of magic.
